J SPRING FASHION SHOW ON GARDENS BY THE BAY’S SKYWAY IN SINGAPORE

After breaking records and creating the World’s Highest Fashion Show on the Grand Canyon Skywalk in the US a mere few months ago,  model turned entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh, recently added yet another phenomenal catwalk to her extensive list of stupefying global fashion shows. This time the model’s sky high runway landed upon Asia’s latest architectural wonder, Gardens by the Bay’s OCBC Skyway, providing onlookers with more mind-blowing high fashion.
Tina.Couture collection (CHINA)
The 128 meter long runway of J Spring Fashion Show 2014, staged at 25 metres above the ground, was always set to turn heads (to the sky), and guests were not disappointed. Seated at the Supertree Grove, guests were able to enjoy panoramic views of the catwalk which spanned between high-tech Supertree structures against the ornate botanical backdrop. The entire event was streamed live via a LED screen, giving coverage of the runway from multiple angles.  “It was one of those iconic moments. Both concept and implementation were brilliant.” said Mr. Dean Rossilli, General Manager, Pan Pacific Orchard.
The outdoor masterpiece featured an exquisite combination of Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter collections from three continents. Raising the bar and setting the sky high standards, Chinese fashion house Tina Couture commenced on the runway with a clean palette of enchanting whites. Dresses fluttered effortlessly as they opened the show with a heavenly collection. The angelical collection was brought to a close with a dumbfounding dark twist, as Jessica Minh Anh stunned in their final piece.

The show continued with Singapore’s very own fashion brand, Fuchsia Lane, who created an air of Hollywood opulence with Oriental undertones. Garments tempted onlookers  with romantic curves and sensual silhouettes in shades of blushing nudes, soft whites and accents of classic Eastern reds and imperial purple.
Next, Indian label Sonya for VEMB showcased an underwater collection with big waves, the movement and lightness. Waterfall shades of emerald greens were teamed up with hues of blues in stunning satin textures.
Spraying an array of gold’s to the grand catwalk was Russian sensation Lubov Tumanova. The young talent produced an eclectic range of dresses all evoking modern femininity at its best.
Following on with bold and vivacious designs, Kenyan designer Sarakary held distinction with their hints of Kenyan culture seen in the traditional beadings and colour choices.

Similar to the previous show, Lebanese celebrity designer Ziad Nakad closed the show with class and elegance. Presenting an Haute Couture Collection inspired by the romantic nature of spring, the floor length gowns brought the show to a captivating grand finale, through simplicity and sophistication.

The entire production was prepared within less than 60 days from the minute Jessica Minh Anh gained exclusive permission from Gardens by the Bay to host the grand show on the special bridge. The seamless installation was a result of Jessica Minh Anh’s collaboration with Singapore’s major production company Electronics & Engineering for a high tech sound system, and logistics company Nanyang Inc who will create a highly secure backstage area on the Skyway. J Spring Fashion Show was also supported by SMRT Media, SoloStep Studio, The Patissier, Field Catering & Supplies, SGBanner, Photojaanic Singapore, Insider TV Asia, Shu Uemura, and Action Salon who created an innovative hairstyle to compliment Jessica Minh Anh’s extraordinary vision.

J Spring Fashion Show in the morning was extended till the evening with the J Spring After Party in the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel where the most unique pieces from the show were exhibited.

“I think people are drawn to Jessica Minh Anh’s iconic catwalks not only because they are highly innovative, but also because they shorten the distance between imagination and reality. Her hard work and success is a reassurance that the new generation sees no limits and the future is bright.” said British PR specialist Rhea Keehn. Jessica’s recent achievements include the first ever catwalk on London’s Tower Bridge and PETRONAS Twin Towers’ Skybridge in Kuala Lumpur, the 90 metre floating catwalk on the Seine River in Paris, and the world’s first sundeck catwalk on Costa Atlantica in Dubai before she entered the US. There is definitely no sign of her slowing down.

More than a fashion or beauty statement, the international success of J Spring Fashion Show 2014 marked another revolutionary breakthrough in the industry and celebrated the rise of a daring young generation.  “I am no longer dreaming. I’ve been flying the world actualizing it” said Jessica Minh Anh.

After floating on water and catwalking in the sky, one might wonder what Jessica will do next…
